Super Monday Message

Happy Mothers Day Yesterday! Over 20 years ago my brother Kwin wrote a Mothers Day poem for our mom. It’s titled “I Hate My Mother” and goes like this….

I hate my mother - she never does anything right.
She spent hours making my costume,
And I'm afraid it's just too tight,

I hate my mother, She is so mean,
She washed all my clothes,
And they're just too clean,

I hate my mother - she isn't fair.
She bought me a huge ice cream cone,
Then expected me to share.

I hate my mother - she drives me insane.
Everyday she gives me a hug,
And they just cause too much pain.

I hate my mother - she's so rotten,
She made me a huge dinner,
Then told me to eat all the food I'd gotten.

I hate my mother - she doesn't understand me.
I told her I wanted two jelly beans, 
and she gave me three.

I hate my mother - she won't give me a break.
She spent all day with me at the zoo,
And wouldn't even let me play with the snake.

I hate my mother - and she hates me.
She bought me a stack of presents,
And then hid them under a tree.

I hate my mother - she played an evil trick.
She made me drink gross medicine,
And I was already sick.

I hate my mother - I need not reason and such.
Because you can tell from the clean clothes, hugs, presents, and medicine,
She loves me way too much.

Super High Fives

Just a couple of the awesome recent accomplishments that need a big thank you.

• Super high five to the parents that organized fun thank yous for teacher appreciation week. We’re grateful for all of their great support of our schools.
• A super high five to Mr. Thomas for organizing a fun Physics Lagoon Day each year. Big thank you’s to the others that helped with the trip.
